Knocked this off with my chums in an afternoon - think it shows you can mix and match with these 2 dslrs pretty well. My apologies for the 'steppy' playback on vimeo - gonna try a reduced bit rate

Reducing the bitrate on your upload file will have zero effect on how Vimeo plays it back, as it re-encodes the original file into the Vimeo's playback format. The only thing you can do to improve Vimeo playback is to uncheck the 1080p option if you currently have it set.

Would love to hear more about your method in matching Canon to Panasonic colors- if you really did it that quickly, I'm impressed!
I'm not the best color corrector in the world, but I don't think I'm the worst either. I shot a multi-angle interview piece this past week, and spent most of a day just tweaking and playing with color correction to make the cameras match. Got any workflow tips for that?

This was a bit easier inasmuch as the band wanted a kind of early 60's feel to it, so washing out some of the chroma was a first start. Then it was about matching gamma, contrast and luminance of the 60D to the GH2, which didn't take that long. I was grading in an avid, so I could save off a colour grade to a bin and then re-apply as necessary.

Re-balancing cameras, the same applies - get a balance between your cameras, save off the colour effects to a bin, then re-apply. There's a mode in avid where you can set a certain colour effect you've done for one clip that will auto apply that correction to other clips from the same source - it's a good time-saver.

Good to know. I just did a video this week and had to match a 5D MarkII, JVC GY HM790, and my GH2. I found it very difficult! I'm not using avid, but final cut x, premier pro, and after effects.
