Hi Everyone,

Thought you would all like to know that Murdeball has been nominated for an Oscar. Yes that is right, shot with a DVX100 and a lot of talent, Murderball is standing is some pretty good company.

So get the mojo working folks and keep your fingers crossed for a talented filmmaker. Henry-Alex Ruben is just like the rest of you guys, and a dream is coming true. I am sure he is excited and cetrtainly didn't expect his film to go this far, but I only hope that the folks that see the screeners give it the thought process and let it go all the way. It's great to see that a film that made only 1.5 million at the box office still gets the oscar nodd. There is still hope....

The murrder ball guys deserive it. They worked really hard and are a bunh of good guys. We got to hang out with them in Vegas at Cinevegas last June. If you have not seen it go watch it and see what a dvx can do for doc's.

Grizzly man (Whitch is beeing shown on friday on the discovery channel if you haven't seen it.) didn't get on there and that is a supprise to me. but Enron did and that is a really good film
 
'Murderball' directed by Dana Adam Shapiro and Henry-Alex Rubin is broadcasted today on national TV (VPRO), primetime in the Netherlands. Good story, fast edited.
 
i think this is a wakeup call to anybody who gets too tied up in resolutions and color compressions etc.. instead of seeing how they can get out and shoot their film to the best of their ability. These camera's we own rock, 10-15 years ago a dvx or hvx would be an amatuer filmakers dream.
 
hate to break it to you guys... but murderball insn't the only DVX flick nominated "iraq in fragments" shot with the dvx100 directed by james longley... oscar nod... nominated best director--director"s guild... sundance-best director-best editing-best-cinematography- AND grand jury award for full frame. DVX RULES THE EARTH and his mother HVX RULES THE GALAXY!!!
