Hello DVXUsers. :cheesy: For your viewing consideration, I present this short film that I recently shot and edited as the final project for a film production class at the University of Alabama. As I'm sure you all know, Alabama has a booming film scene... <crickets>

We used a very minimal setup and mostly practical lighting at night. This was my first time shooting at night with a DSLR and I have to say I was impressed with the camera's abilities. We shot this whole piece in one day over two shoots of around 10 hours. We used two DSLRs for the interior and one for the exteriors. The only lenses I used were a 50mm and a 24mm fixed.

I know the acting isn't the best, but this kid showed up with all his lines memorized so I can't really complain too much. The focus of this project was on achieving high production values with minimal equipment, and I think we did a pretty good job there. I did not write or direct on this one, so I'm mostly looking for feedback on the production itself.

Any suggestions on things we could have done better? Tips on how to boost our production values without breaking the bank?

Thanks!
