When recording with multiple cameras, with clip's timecode each camera could record the clip's precise location IN time, as additional data code, which could be used in editing software for automatic synchronization of the clips.
That way the clips would be imported directly on the timeline AS THEY WERE RECORDED, without the need for further synchronization.
Offcourse, this should be done in cooperation with software creators, but as I see it -it's a rather small fuss concerning the final benefit. The amount of production time
gained with this option is obvious.
