MTV accepts video shot with canon 5D

im sure they've accepted far more of far lower quality.

all these discussions of what shows use which camera are just efforts for people to justify their purchase or justify a larger one...

blah.

Well it'a about time if that's the case.
Say's more about how not happening MTV has been these last years than any camera choice.

Matt Workman who is a DVXUSER member has shot ALOT of spots for mtv over the years with his 7d and cinema lenses. below are just a couple examples. and these are from 2010. You may go through his archives and see his BTS ect. So this really isnt news

You need to get in the "Now".... Tv stations have been accepting material shot on Dslr for many many years. Heck for at least 3 years 5d footage has been everywhere and within the last year 5d footage has graced the silver screen in many many movies... So yeah, stop worrying about your camera and just create art.

THANK YOU!! Most people watching music videos these days are way to enamored with the artist and half dressed dancers to worry about what camera the video was shot with. Camera concern is for operators and pixel peepers. The general public hasn't a clue, or really care.

I appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching. Also a quick updated. Video was accepted by VEVO should be posted in a few weeks.
