Hey guys, just switched over to windows for editing (WAY faster computer for so cheap) and was wondering if anyone could help me out. Im ditching prores (since you cant transcode to prores on windows) and going with DNxHD (IMO just as universal and a solid codec too). I could just use mts but I'd prefer to transcode all of my footage, just kind of a pet peeve I have. I've tried out Pavtube, only one I could find so far that did DNxHD. Any ideas? thanks guys

You can use Prelude CS6 if you have that. 5DTORGB will also encode to DNxHD.

I was under the impression 5dtoRGB was mac only, but that appears to just be the "batch" version, which is what I would want since I trascode 50+ files at a time.

Since when doesn't Mpeg Streamclip work with mts? Why would you transcode just for the sake of a "pet peeve"? It's a time waster and creates much bigger files. Now, if you were piling on effects in AE I could understand.

I sell footage/give footage to people so having a universal codec is very convenient. I'm really just used to the workflow with fcp, i might just need to change. And every time ive put an mts in mpegstream clip it didnt work, i just tried it and it didnt work.
