MTS clip crashing transcoders

I have one clip out a four clip "video" that does not want to transcode. It was shot in HE mode. Only time I have used that mode. It was a very long musical fundraiser.

It is the last clip of the four and is the last hour of the event. Rock legend Kieth Emerson from Emerson Lake and Palmer (ELP) is on stage playing with John Lee Sanders and a group of musicians, and those guys all want a copy. I'd really like to get this figured out asap.

Just about any transcoder/codec I try hangs about 3/4 of the way through it. Sometimes they crash earlier on but none get past the 3/4ish mark.

I tried restorer and it thinks the clip is fine. Any ideas?

A couple others.

Yes, could play it with VLC or MPC etc.

Seems to crash them around the same point.

I'll double check with VLC if it plays through the same area that crashes the transcoders.
 
Ok... I'll assume this clip is backed up on your HDD.

What are you trying to transcode it into ? Maybe the problem is with your destination compression format/codec?

Within Media Encoder, try splitting the encoded files with the in/out handles.
