The Movcam top handle mounts to the C300 camera in four places and provides a way to dress the LCD cables so they are out of the way. After some research I went to see Girvan Calder at Abel Cine in Burbank and we removed the front extension for the top handle so the Canon LCD mounts to the front like the stock Canon handle. The camera is less top heavy, although it is still front heavy (no workaround except a rig w/ weights). To remove the Movcam handle extension use a 2.5mm allen to remove the set screw and then use a long 5mm allen inside the front extension arm. The handle extension slips off. Relocate the Movcam LCD shoe to the front of the handle and tighten it with a 3mm allen seating the pins to lock the shoe in place.
