Mouse Hunting

Time to throw my hat in for weirdest post....

We're shooting a film set in a shitty hospital. There's a mouse in one scene - it just has to scurry along the wall.

Does ANYBODY have any experience with rodent wrangling? Ideas so far:
1. Buy many mice. Show them cheese. Place them on other side of shot. Mouse runs through shot. Repeat until rodents or crew are exhausted.
2. Get a glass/plexi covering, put it up against the wall, light and frame to taste, insert rodent.

And...that's pretty much it.

Any thoughts? Warnings? Omens of ill portent?

Cheers

Hm, you could try the cheese method, but that might be a long waiting game. You could also try to frighten and shoo the mouse from one side to the other.

Make sure the mouse cant escape. Depending on the mouse - if it is familiar with humans - you might wear gloves, they can bite you quite hard.

Nothing like letting a bag of mice loose in a hospital. If it's an ECU or CU, can you shoot it in studio / off location?

Consider dragging a fake mouse along with a black thread - if all you need is a quick scuttle, it may work fine.
