Mounting stuff on the Red

I was thinking last night about the redrail and redcage and mounting the accessories and I got spooked about how many allen screws are on this thing.

Having to break down this camera in semi-darkness would be a nightmare. I personally have watched camera assistants send all manner of little screws into the sand/grass/gutter at dusk, never to be recovered.

The other thing about hard mounting is that the camera does get broken down daily and I have to give the video tap stuff back to the playback guy and the sound transmitters back to the sound guy and I don't really want to be chasing allen screws when its time to go home.

We need to see thumb screws on the hardware everywhere these parts touch the rods. If it's infinitely adjustable it needs to be instantly adjustable as well.

The other thing is that some receiver/transmitter plates need to be made that are tool-less to get off and on the redrail or red cage system. The velcro may be ugly but it's really quick and if you've worked with a lot of little transmitters before you know they go off and on a few times before camera tells the AD they're ready.
