C300: Mother and Child

A short to show the bonding of mother and child in the wild. Contains clips of some endangered species suckling. Asiatic Wild ass, One horned rhino, asiatic wild buffalo, asiatic elephant, Gaur mothers nourishing their young. I was kind of pondering over the recent rape cases of women and children and thought are we less humane than animals? I hope we can learn love from the wild animals. http://youtu.be/HQIX7_PCZdg

The starting 3 minutes is done with C300 with all L series glass.

PS: Not sure why I can't embed the video.

Thanks for the appreciation Dusty and Eric.

I use all my long Canon teles. Most of the shots here have been done with the Canon 400mm f2.8 L IS USM with 2x II TC ie. at 800mm optical focal length. Some are done with 800mm plus 1.4xTC. The Rhino shot and the Wild Ass shot is with the 70-200. Rhino show was from an elephant back.

I use an OConnor 1030 HDs fluid head and a Sachtler ENG 2 CF HD tripod (100mm bowl). It was tough on my wallet when I bought it. And it is not easy to carry the load in treacherous conditions, but I do it as I find the smaller tripods don't handle the weight and wind well. :)
Cheers,
Sabyasachi
