Most "cost effective" HD monitor for HMC 150

any specific recommendations on monitor purchase for my sports video work? My 56 y/o eyes need a 8"+ screen size and I am trying to stay under $1000 but don't want to regret not spending enough to get features I need.

Since I'm one of those who dosent really have to much money, I always go to coollcd.com. Really cheap monitors, great value for the money. In your case, you could probably get the best monitor they have to offer on the site!

+1 for coollcd.com, but Marshall, SmallHD and Manhattan LCD are also good brands and on the professional level.

The cool LCD stuff is handy, but be wary of judging color with it - use your WFM for exposure. The little Marshall 5" is slick and has blue-only for calibration. about $550. Very small though.

I've noticed that most Samsung HDTVs in the smaller sizes have really nice controls and 1:1 pixel mapping. Maybe not the best thing for run & gun but I'm looking at quick release wall mounts for my edit desk, be nice to have it on indoor sets.
