More sillyness

We just wrapped a new, very small project. A friend of mine wanted a simple video to show off his handmade Mt. Rushmore puppet and this is what we came up with.

Best viewed in 1080p, if you can:

My personal involvement on this one was limited to just camera work, editing, and a little grading. The credit (/blame?) for anything else should be reserved for the rest of the team. Camera used was HMC40, of course. Settings were Cinelike D gamma with Detail and v.Detail set to -4. Master Ped was -1. Everything else was at defaults. Also of note was that I shot to Hyperdeck Shuttle in uncompressed .mov format - massive overkill for such a simple project, I know, but if you've got it, might as well use it

Good settings, but the big question is whether the person at the end of the clip is really that good a ventriloquist (eating, drinking while Abe continues talking) or was it just an "effect."

Well, the fact that their voices overlap at a few points is a clue that simple ventriloquism was not involved. In this case, the audio track was pre-recorded and Clint (the model maker, and puppeter seen at the end) was trying make the mouth movements match the audio.
