More Rainbows and Even Smarter People

Saw that a while back.

Tough to imagine anything more heartening to America's enemies than the revelation that...well, there's America, for you.

I can't even believe this...

What's depressing is that it represents a grade of ignorance so ignorant that the ignorant person isn't adequately equipped to realize how ignorant they are. What's worse is that they obviously believe that they are displaying how smart they are.

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

Ah, but Einstein also said "The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination."

As well as:

"Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods."

Spoken like a true theorist. I don't notice that he minded people working to set up experiments to verify - and thereby judge the truth-value of - his theories, when it suited him...

...and there's precious little if any imagination required to regurgitate unoriginal half-absorbed conspiracy-theory nonsense, as a substitute for original inquiry when you can't recognize a grade-school-curriculum optical phenomenon right the f--- in front of you...

Simply cautioning against selective quotation. Besides, it's not a coincidence he capitalized "Truth" and "Knowledge" there.

Einstein was fairly consistent in his admonitions against dwellers of glass houses casting stones. Everyone says something which sounds dumb now and then; it's only the unfortunate few who manage to get it caught on YouTube, to be spread around by people whose inglorious moments have managed to stay off the record.

Isn't most conspiracy logic circular?

Also, note in the end credits, she's from N Calif.

(Socal residents insert obligatory N Cal joke here...)

Sorry. Will refrain from humor in future.
