More low-light performance in 30f compared to 60i?

Anybody experienced this? I was shooting an event last night in 60i with a 30th shutter and my iris was wide open and I was BARELY getting enough light. I was wondering if shooting in 30f mode would allow me to mess with the shutter a little more. Any thoughts? Thanks!

What Ive done a few times is shoot with the ND filter on and takes me some time to realize this - really screws my head up! Check that 1st

From my experience the F mode is better as you can drop shutter lower especially in 25F mode as it defaults to a 25 shutter as apposed to 50 in 50i mode. Ciao Az
