I am continuing my studies of early morning light and colors and trying to convey the vastness of the space while showcasing the wide angle capability of the XHA1's native lens. I have developed a special preset for sunrise sequences such as these but am keeping it private for now. I will release it when I have done further testing. I shot mostly with a graduated ND.6 filter and the only cc done was a slight levels correction. The only other thing I added was my usual cinemascope crop.

There are a couple of ambient sound glitches which I will fix when I get a chance.

Lovin' it, disjecta. :) Did you recently get a bandwidth upgrade with your site? Those are some huge files. :eek:
 
disjecta- I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to buy the A1... I pulled the trigger after downloading a few of your samples. I am glad I did. I've only shot about 3 hours on it so far... and that was work stuff not fun stuff. can't wait to get out in the woods...

fgir, that was awsome to look at.

is it just my computer, or did you get 2 or 3 dropped frames in your piece? Was this from the compressoin? Or the reliability of HDV ?
 
Papa, it's more than likely your computer. It's the nature of playing these files. Sometimes, I will see a glitch and when I restart my computer and play it again, it's gone. Try that. If it is showing up in the same place, you may have to download it again. If anyone else is experiencing this, the problem is in my file.

I also have seen the blocky glitches - never experienced it before with any of your other video - great inspiring work as always.
 
OKay, I'm going to be uploading a replacement either today or tomorrow. I'll let you know.

EDIT: I replaced the file with a glitch-free version and some minor edits, FYI
