Get MPEG STREAMCLIP and use that to get the footage off of the DVD. If you have the Avid codecs installed I'll wager it will allow you to Export into one of them...like Avid DV. That'll work...SHOULD work. I'd test it but MY Avid is at my home office, and I am on a companies Avid, and I am not installing software onto that machine.

Avid isn't a mistake, just goota learn how to do things.
 
i guess you're right i think that with everyone's help on here i should be able to get better with it. still working on importing differet types of media into the project but i think i am making headway there.
