I guess that depends on how popular it proves to be, and how different the questions are. We kept the HVX200 and HPX170 lumped together and that seems to be working out okay.
Overall we're not all that big on making bazillions of subsections, we like to keep things grouped together where it's logical for them to be included together. So we'll probably try it out with the HMC150 and see what happens; if it's too different and it's popular enough to need its own section, we'll split it off then.
So Bob, are you getting one? ;-) I might, but then I am curious what Canon is going to offer. It is not like I NEED a new camera RIGHT NOW.
As for consumer cams, just lump them all into one category, because currently there is no gathering place for those who is not fortunate to own a pro camcorder.
Naw... that's just for now.. It's new and a big deal. 40 and 150 can both be here in perfect harmony.. heh
This is what I said above. It is pretty lame to separate workflows by specific models. It should be separated by codec/media. Panasonic camcorders record DVCPROHD only to P2, record AVCHD only to SDHC, and record DV to either P2 or tape. So having three forums: "DVCPRO/DVCPROHD", "AVCHD/AVCCAM" and "DV" effectively separates workflows and present and future models. The 150 and 40 have the same workflow, codec, capture media, color space, and maximum capture data rate.
The 200, 200a, and 170 have the same workflow, codec, capture media (except DV), color space and maximum capture data rate.
