Arguably the best 2nd baseman in the history of baseball. Ya gotta tolerate him, good word! :)

As much as I hate him, statistically the best second baseman of all time is Joe Morgan.

EDIT:
The reason I hate him is because of his comments on ESPN.

Example: The Dodgers lost because they didn't score enough runs
Example: The Yankees won because they scored more runs than the Red Sox
Example: If the pitching doesn't improve they are in trouble
Example: (after a home run) He got all of that

To each of his comments I say no $hit

Funny you should mention that...

It reminded me of a post from a while back. (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=52112&highlight=time+roster)

Ok, so Jeremy (TheYankee) got me thinking...

Who would you say are the best players of all time by position?
-Also-
Name your pick for the best ballplayer of all time...
-And Finally-
The Best team in history is...

Try to list a starting roster, with an optional backup list.

Here goes nothin'...

My All-Time Roster

1st Base
Lou Gehrig (one of the few no-brainers on the list)

2nd Base
Rogers Hornsby (likewise)

Short Stop
Honus Wagner (can't argue with numbers like that IMO)

3rd Base
Mike Schmidt (he was unbelievable at 3rd)

Catcher
Johnny Bench (I have shared drinks and cigars with this living legend)

Pitcher
Nolan Ryan ()

Outfielders (OK, here's where it gets tricky)
After much consideration, I'll go with...
Joe DiMaggio
Babe Ruth
Willie Mays

-and-

My Backup Roster

1st...Jimmie Foxx
2nd...Jackie Robinson
3rd...George Brett
SS...Ozzie Smith
C...Yoggi Berra
P...Sandy Koufax
OF...Ty Cobb
OF...Ted Williams
OF...(tie) Mickey Mantle + Roberto Clemente

My Pick For The Best Player Of All Time
Joe DiMaggio

My Pick For the Best Team in History
1939 Yankees

we almost get in fights all the time, harrased by drunk 20 somethings in safeway when we goto get some drinks before the game. One guy brought up an argument saying Kent was on roids....and then got mad at the expected Bonds joke. LOL

Then he starts rapping to us about how he's from the bay! It's like, dude so am I...IDIOT!!! But hey, don't wear a Dodger jersey to our ballpark and not expect to get harrassed, I wouldn't go the Ravine wearing my Giants **** (if I even found a reason to go there at all.)

Punk kids?

The last time that I went to Pac Bell (or whatever they call it now) it was all women in high heels and evening wear asking their Armani suited dates to get them some sushi and a nice pinot at the concession stand.

Um, yeah, because regular blue-collared folks from the peninsula don't go to Giants games?

Subway series in the air??

Man, I hope not. The only thing I want to see happen is the Dodgers get knocked out in the first round (which is about to happen.) The only thing I DON'T want to see is another subway series (though I'll take a subway series over seeing the bums in the WS.)

A's game underway, Haren avoided his trademark out of control 2 runs or more 1st inning with a miracle double play.

Why is kendall striking out so much in the post season?

I'd like to see Dodgers win it all, it's not going to happen but I wouldn't mind seeing them. I wouldn't mind seeing Detroit win it all either. They did a damn good job against the Yankees tonight.

If anyone watched sportscenter tonight, I edited the Twins v A's for all the SC's and Baseball tonight's.
