C500: mk2 vs C300mk3 Comparison

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share this article I wrote for ProVideoCoalition comparing the two cameras. It's not super scientific, but I'm just a cinematographer with varied nerd-cred on the side. Plenty of test footage in the writeup for your viewing pleasure, although obviously Vimeo will do some compression.

Happy to answer any questions!

Excellent work - I read and commented the other day (as Josh). It's a superb article for owners of either camera too in terms of general findings. Hope you write more for Pro Video Coalition!

Thank you for all the hard work putting this together. I had been waiting on this article and companion YouTube video to drop so of course I had to check it as soon as I received the YT notification.

While I do enjoy a good nerd-out on tech as much as anyone, what I appreciate about your stuff is the practicality and real-world use / impacts. That is what I think is missing from a lot of the content out there that is essentially just a regurgitation of the spec sheet...so thank you!
