Mizuno Test Footage

Beautiful. I would love to hear how you did the grade. Those shots look phenomenal. Details on lenses and post process please.

very sexy stuff. definitely agree with needing some info on the technical stuff that we all love :)

details are pretty straight forward:

Canon 7D with Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 lense I think at around f4

Rotational movement was created using standards mathews dolly track, and a really crappy suitcase dolly.

Was shot around 120 shutter (to maintain 180 degree shutter), ISO 160 (to avoid noise) at 60fps. No slow down in post.

Lighting was a pretty simple pancake technique. A reflector was used to illuminate actors face anywhere from 90 degrees to 45 degrees to the sun.

Grading was done simply in After Effects. I come from a CG background, so I just applied a bit of an s-curve to the footage, pushed saturation a tiny bit, and used a warming filter in AE.

I'd have guessed there was a slight velocity change in post, so then I have to say ...
...very impressive slightly slo mo simulation.

Did you instruct your talent in how to walk, draw the club from bag and move the bat?

Maybe what I'm seeing is the result of 60fps? The motion is so very fluid.
