mixing framerates with 24f

I wanted to know if anyone has any experience editing 24f footage with 60i. I need to shoot with a second camera in IR (sony) that only shoots 60i. Supposedly, this will be no problem in final cut 6, but I wanted to find out if anyone has any experience with this. (or have you converted the 60i footage using something like natress filters.)

I converted 60i with Magic Bullet and mixed with 24F in the same timeline, works fine. The same footage in 60i has a stuttery look and is obviously interlaced, very out of place.

I tried this today. Shot 24f and 60i on my Canon A1.

I put the 24f into its own sequence in FCP then added the 60i. The 60i footage showed a red render line. I did a "render all" and got a message that it was performing a conform. When FCP was finished the 60i still had the red render line and would not play.

Looks like I'll have to wait for my copy of FCP 6 which Apple says will be here by June 5.
