At weddings I like to shoot 720p60 so I have the option of producing high quality slomo. I conform the footage to a 24p timeline slowing it to 40% which gives me frame-accurate slomo.
I recently shot a wedding this way but later in the evening the low light scenes were pretty grainy due to the increased gain required. I'm thinking a better approach might be to switch to 720p24 (i.e., 1/48 shutter) for the low light parts of the event.
I use Vegas for editing and it will handle both types of clips in the same project without problem. From the perspective of the HMC-150, is this a good strategy? If not, what would you suggest?
