 I cant believe that Mitch Hedberg died today in New Jersey. He was one of my all-time favorite comedians. I cant even think right now. He was only 37 yrs old.

My friend Tiffany and I have been ****ed up all day over this. He was such a hilarious guy. I'm going to get one of the quadrouple tree shirts from his site and wear it in memory.

TC-

Can you give me the link to the site you are ordering from? MitchHedberg.net was down yesterday.

Thanks

Nevermind, its up. Musta crashed or something yesterday with the sad news... Wonder if they have stand up in heaven.

really really sad news, I saw him live a few months ago, how hilarious, so much potential to become bigger than he was

Yeah, it really is sad. He was from St. Paul, so he gigged around here quite often. I've seen him a few times and thought he was great.

Bummer! That guy just made me grin non-stop when I'd catch him on television. His delivery alone made him funny.

I remember watching him for the first time on the Tonight Show several years ago. He closed his act by mentioning he had to go because he had a roll of LifeSavers in his pocket and that pineapple was the next flavor.

What is it with comedians getting so strung out they drive themselves to the grave?

Belushi.... Farley... Hedberg....

Sad news, he was a hoot.

I'm just taking a guess, but maybe it has something to do with the fact that although these guys are considered comic genius, their comedy originates in pain a lot of times. I've heard Robin Williams tell about having to laugh and joke his way through the rougher parts of his life. Drugs and alcohol arent always indulgences for the well off and bored, but a means of escape (however futile in the attempt) of some kind of pain in life. And then they cross the line and dont come back. It is a waste of life, anyway.

I feel a Mino-esque rant coming on about this in me....like Carrol O'Connor was right on the mark (after his son's death) when he lobbied to hold drug dealers accountable on murder charges when a user died from using.... If Big Tobacco can be called out, the same principle applies. Sure, people should be smart enough to avoid use of these things in the first place. But even doctors are held accountable for getting patients addicted to prescription drugs. ah crap... I'm just sad as hell that Mitch is gone.

THARTLEY!!!!!!!
