I posted this in the technical section but maybe I'll get a few more hits here.
Working on a feature, cutting on FCP 5.0.4. We have a reel that has three takes, but only XML files for one of those takes. The MXF files for the other two takes exist, but they do not have corresponding XML files that allow FCP to identify and ingest them.
How can I re-generate these XML files? It's been suggested to copy them to a P2 card, place it back into the camera and hopefully the camera will regenerate the XML files (sounds wonky, though). Will P2 Log or P2 Genie do it?
Am also trying to bring the files into Avid, which has worked, and exporting to Quicktime, which hasn't worked. Suggestions/Comments/Anything ya got, will be much appreciated.
