Missing data on FCP import- URGENT.. thanks

Greetings all,

I'm importing footage into FCP and some of the clips for some reason are popping up with the red error; no data message. I tried to do it off the p2store and then after backing up to the HD and still the same thing. Is there a fix utility in FCP for the clips, or something else on the mac side. If I had to use windows I'm on a macbook so I could at somepoint. Let me know what might be possible if you've experienced this before. I'm on a shoot and this missing footage is very importatnt. Don't understand what has gone on... the clips are there.. I can play them within FCP but they won't convert to quicktime.

I'm on a bigtime deadline so this is a major inconvenience. Also could it be something with the camera, cards or p2store? Any and all advice appreciated.

What appears to work is FCP 5.1.4 AND switching the read/write tab to write protect on the p2 card before copying/ingesting.

it hasn't worked from the p2store and or the files backed up to the computer. still kind of locks up on the import and then says missing data. I need to get this solved today as I'm going into 4 days of shooting... got to make sure I'm not missing anything. I am on FCP 5.14 so I think that's the most latest thing. Could it be a firmware update needed for the P2store or something like that?

Thanks

darn business has happened again..> What could be the problem. I can see the thumbnails and they play in the import window in FCP but I can't import the files for some damn reason.. This footage is vital to restore... Any recommendations? Any programs on the mac to salvage this stuff. I think it's got to be some device info or directory business..

Thanks in advance..
