minority report traffic blue

Does anyone know how i can achieve the blue minority report blueish tone. Similar to certain scenes in traffic and narc? Its a cold look. I have been trying everything in final cut pro but for some reason i cant get it just right.

I apologize if i am posting it in the right section. I shot this footage with the hvx200 but this pertains to post.

Hey mate,

Not sure if this helps, i have attached some screens to see if what I'm thinking is on the right track.

The scene I used was in full golden morning light, so it may not be a good choice of shot for this effect, high daylight would pull off a much better effect I think with it's greater contrast range.

I used a tint filter with a dark blue as you can see, and then just dropped the whites a bit with the standard colour corrector. . .it was a quick as job, but I think you get the picture. Is this what you are trying to acheive, albeit maybe a little more polished than this 5 minute job?

if youre in fcp, the 3 way color corrector will give you WAY better results than simply tinting...
