Minolta glass

Anyone ever tried using old Minolta glass with their gh's? I've got Nikon glass but saw some Minoltas on Craigslist that looked interesting for the price. Figured they'd give a different look than the Nikons but wanted to hear some experiences.

I have a lot of old minolta glass. The only lens so far that compares to the Panasonic 20mm in terms of quality that I have used is the Rokkor MD 50mm 1.4, the Rokkor 24mm 2.8. I'm sure there are others. Often the old lenses have problems. The Sigma 24mm Super Wide II is a total steal at around $25. The AF 50mm 1.7 and 1.4 are very good, and there are a lot of more expensive lenses. You might want to pay a little more and go with Canon or Nikon, but some of the old Minolta glass is good. You can see sharpness ratings on Dyxum for almost all the lenses, those reviews are usually spot on--and, mostly, the more expensive lenses are better.

This was shot with minolta lenses..
50mm f1,7 and 35-70mm f3,5
All old manual lenses are not so sharp as panasonic 20mm lens or 14-140mm...
But if you want to use manual lenses on Ghx I suggest you Nikon or canon lenses (you have a lot more choice on internet)

I have lots of old manual focus Minolta glass, but I've only used the 50/1.4, 200/3.5 and 300/4.5 on my GH1 so far. I think the lower contrast is more noticeable than any sharpness issues, but I find the 14-140 a bit too sharp sometimes.
