Mine arrives this week!

My HVX should arrive this week! I wish I could hold a baby shower for it (a camera shower if you will) and have all my friends bring me accessories.

Currently I have on order:
The HVX, two 8GB cards, and one 4 GB card.
I also ordered a Marshall LCD as well.

Is there any other equipment TRULY needed to operate the camera properly? I know a second LCD is required for proper focusing which is why I got the Marshall. Is there any other necessary equipment I'm missing? For example, does the battery that come with the HVX last for very long?
 
I'm getting mine this week as well. I got the NAB package with a camera, 1 4 gig P2, and a case. I realize I'll probably need an extra battery and was wondering if someone could recommend a good long lasting one and give (possibly with the standard price).
 
Let me know if they used my idea and put those removable stickers on the lens barrel, tape drive or p2 section; about the clunking noise.....

Yes they do take the same batteries...I had to stretch this out because just saying "yes" was too short to allow me submit the post...:costumed-smiley-047

As others have mentioned, you can't beat the batteries that Jarred is providing here... I just received two this very day... and a T-shirt and other goodies in the box are certainly a nice perk!

I know this isn't really a big deal, but good for Panasonic for keeping the batteries backwards compatible. In a world full of corporate B.S. where accessories to new products are NEVER compatible with previous versions, it's good to know I can use my old DVX batteries with the HVX.

It seems like with every new iPod release and every new cell phone, you need accessories that are unique to each model. Sometimes, I get really tired of that money making scheme.
