Considering both of these systems for my 5D setup. I currently have a Bogen 503 system, but it is the stone age I think. Which system would people recommend more, the Miller DV20 or the Sachtler FSB6 ?
Well in a tripod thread in Hardware, Puredrifting recomended the Sachtler head on Miller legs, something I've been looking to get (Just got the quote).

I posted the identical question on another site and received good feedback on both the Miller head and legs. My local shop prefers the Sachtler head on the Miller legs.
I can't decide, which probably means it's not a good time/reason to buy anything but I would offer this insight: I have a pair of Gitzo carbon legs that look alot like the Miller legs. It can be a royal PITA to make small, incremental height adjustments because as a previous poster mentioned you essentially have to do one leg at a time...hoping your rig doesn't tip over. This is the one consideration holding me back from purchasing.
Yet, a lot of people rave about the Miller legs because they are generally less bulky than a full set of video sticks and allow you to position each leg independently.
I have a Sachtler DV8 head for my EX-1 and it is a piece of precision engineering! and that's why I'm leaning in favor of the smaller FSB6 head on a smaller pair of legs.
