Hey guys,
I'm looking for some decent wireless lapel mics with transmitters and an XLR receiver to connect to the camera that would accomodate both mics at the same time. I would love to hear some suggestions. Not really looking to shell out $800 per mic just to let you know my budget. Thanks guys.
 
Sorry. Looking at about $400-$600 for the total package. First thing I'm doing with them is an outside wedding and at the wedding there will be NO sound system. So, I'm going to put a mic on the preacher so I can pick up the sound of the three main characters. Might invest in a boom mic or something of that nature so I can just put it at the front to pick up other sound as well such as music. Any suggestions would be great but just some help with the mics is the main concern here. Thanks guys.

I really appreciate the response. I actually just purchased exactly what I needed today from someone here in my fair city. Got a pretty nice deal too. As long as we're on the subject of audio, if you have a receiver, do you attach it to the XL2 in anyway? I was looking for an adapter that I could stick the receiver in so I could do some comfortable walk-around with the camera and wouldn't have find a place to set the receiver. Thanks again for the response.
 
Well, sure. The receiver is just a receiver, not a recorder. It's function is to eliminate the cable between the mic/s and the XL. The sound still has to be recorded and saved somewhere. You could always get an external recorder, but good recorders don't come cheap.

I don't know what you bought, but it would be best if it has an XLR hookup to the camera - best sound, multiple channels, etc.

I'm sorry because I didn't explain what I meant. This connects to the XL2 with XLR inputs. I'm just looking for a way to carry the receiver with me while shooting by possibly "attaching it to the back of the camera." I'd prefer that over clipping it to my belt. Thanks and sorry I didn't explain that well enough.
 
Well, you did say "attach", not "connect", so my bad. My reply really looks kinda foolish, doesn't it? :embarasse

I use Velcro for everything. but it's not to everyone's taste. You can buy it by the foot at ACE and most other hardware outlets. Also, I discovered that those elastic bands that girls use for ponytails work pretty well for lightweight attachments - the kind with the little balls about the size of marbles. Any drugstore. Then there's gaffer's tape or Scotch brand, painter's masking tape (the blue one). They both hold well and most importantly, pull off easily without gumming up anything. You should always have some rolls of gaffer's tape in your kit anyway.
 
Yeah if I can't find the adapter that I know exists cause I've seen it, I'll use velcro or maybe one of your suggestions there. Thanks Roque Crew.
