micron wireless system

Hi everyone.
Does anybody have experience using Micron wireless systems? I just learned about them, but never use it before. I would love to find a cheaper alternative to Audio limited and Lectro, but I don't know if this can be the guy.

I'm trying to find out how reliable and good sounding they are from your point of view. I have previous experience working with AudioLmtd, great sound as far as wireless goes, and lectrosonic, very reliable gear. How would you compare the micron with those systems? I work more on doc. so I'm very concern about battery life, reliability under bad weather conditions and how sensitive to Rf interference on the field.
Thanks for your answer

I really like my microns, they are lighter than the 2020's and not had a problem with reliability. Sometimes the range can be dramatically reduced when the recievers are next to my 744, but you wouldn't have that problem if you don't have a 744. that may be a kind of RF problem. as for the batery life, its 1000 times more convenient than those ridiculous batteries the 2020'#s use. I'#ve got some litium polymer rechargable 9v batteries that have no problem on 2 per day per transmitter. they charge quick too. They don't have a problem in the rain (i'm in scotland so I should know). I heard a dubbing mixer say to me the other day that he didn't like 2020's becuase they sound quite gatey, like an expander is in the path somewhere. I don't have any such comment about the microns. The only slightly annoying thig about the explorers is the plug. its a 6 pin lemo but not the 6 pin lemos that the 2020s use, they are hard to find and hard to wire.

The new Audio Ltd. 2040 use AA, AAA and 9 V DC batteries. The audio is fairly stunning. The range exceptional. If you'd like to hear what they sound like with a Sanken COS 11 lav. Go to the Online archive on my site and look in the Audio folder for .wav files.
