Micro Gimbal for GH4, BMPCC, A7s - $699 USD

Dave Dugdale tried it on the GH4 it doesn't work the other way round it can only
be mounted as you see it in all the pics.

I would not be so sure about that if you can change the way the motors react via the PID software.
Just looking at the screen on the previous page, you can see that you can invert the rotation of any motor by checking a box, and you can choose the TOP (-Z) and RIGHT (Y) axis for the Sensor, I would not be surprised if just playing with that do the trick.
I don't have a Nebula yet though, but someone could try that maybe ?

Here's some test footage of me following my roommate around the apartment. I was mainly trying to see how bumpy it was going to look following someone. The A7s was in a DSLR cage to helpfully smooth out the bumps. Sorry about the barren apartment; we're moving soon.

I tried the PID settings Dusty sent over for the A7s and I think they're a good match! I'm in full frame mode with a zuiko 24mm. What are your thoughts?

Looks to be working just as it should be.

Has anyone seen this when connecting the Nebula 4000, the YAW settings are grayed out and unchangeable, and I just get a very high pitched squeal from the nebulaView attachment 95626
I was mentioned user with the same issue. What you have to do it load "Profile 1" that comes with the software and then write.
i had the same issue but when re installing the profile 1 firmware all was good and I got back to PID tinkering

The more I see of the Nebula, the more I'm impressed - however also the more I'm actually inclined to wait for a revised edition...

LOL, this is me!

But for guys who are making money off of it now, the investment I am sure is recouped pretty quickly.

Someone is going to come up with a version that will allow for tooless balancing and can manage a little more weight and that will be about the time I jump in .

Kevin, glad I could help. Others have helped me, so it is nice to know I have helped. But I am still no expert at this.

Has anyone found some settings for mounting a gopro? I copied these settings(+ auto calibrate the power) and they're pretty wacky. Does anyone have some other settings to use as a launching pad?

Got my Nebula 4000 today.

Balanced the GM1 + 12mm F2.0 and it worked pretty well.

Turned it off to tweak the pan balance and when I switched it back on it did not beep and would start spinning wildly after a short delay. No matter what I do I can get it to work again.

Anyone have this issue or ideas to remedy?

I have an email out to Film Power ...

Thanks,

I think what happened was I hit the button 4 or 5 times by mistake and screwed up the calibration. I emailed Filmpower and they send the 3 default profiles and instructions on recalibrating which I was able to follow and get the gimbal back in action.

No. (the current answer)

Early tests says no, but I wonder if negating some PID values could allow such behavior...

Shoot. What a design oversight. Thanks for the replies!

I'm not sure it's that simple; these gimbals are more complicated than they look!

After getting some time to tune my Nebula 4000 I have the GM1 + 12mm F2.0 working pretty well:

And here it is on the obligatory Cowboy Studio's shoulder mount:

Here are the settings I came up with for the GM1 + 12mm + small arca swiss clamp + plate:

Should make a decent starting off point for smaller cameras as well.
