LOL I really liked that! the voiceover was a bit too variated, as far as tones. (The announcer voices for trailers tend to be very monotone), but I really liked it. The backlight at the end looked really cool, and the fact that he had facial hair (when he was lighting the cigarette) made it hilarious, since it's mickey. haha

Yes, he absolutely should. Good call. Scharky, thats a real funny concept. And looks real good. It was short and to the point with some nice cinematic touches. Question, how did you accomplish the flash frame look, just before his foot steps out onto the curb?

scharky good job! Looks great imo! Funny, I'm using the same music for a short that I'm editing.

Oh and a mickey giggle in the end would be straight up wicked!

Hey guys, thanks for all the replies. I agree, the little mickey voice at the end is a great idea, I'm looking at a couple different ones right now. The flash frame was a simple "flash" transition done in vegas, it can also be done by adding a composite track with a white or bright yellow video track, fading it up and down. There isn't much I can do with the concept as I'm sure taking it any farther and Disney would be down my throat, but it was fun for the type of project that it was.
 
haha nice, I liked your shots. I guess the only thing that bothered me was the voice over as well but i guess thats just becuase we are so used to the same ol H-wood voice in most trailers these days. haha that guy must be rich! :P
 
Yeah, unfortunaly my voice isn't nearly as cool as his is, but there is no way I could afford a couple hundred grand for a school project, just for the voicover man :)

sweeet :) I don't know exactly, maybe just record a couple of different laughs, Mickey style, and maybe a "welcome to disney land beeeotches" for kai and John hudson. Anybody else have any ideas?
 
you know, it would really suck if your voice was really like the "Famous Trailer Voice Guy" and that when u talked, you would always sound like that....actually, that would be pretty funny. Hmmm, maybe a mockumentary on the FTVG and how he really talks like that in real life. ha! The daily strugles of a voice man. k imma go sleep now becuase i think i need it.
