C100: Mic Pres

I'm interested to know how the mic pres sound on the C100. I like a lot of headroom and the ability to run pres hot without much hiss.
 
I tried this out a while back.

Mic Pres of some cameras leave a lot to be desired.


I tried some tests with the C100:

Result? I trust the Mic Pres on the C100 a lot more than most. When/if I can, I'll continue to use the Pix220 or 24 bit audio on an external recorder for the extra headroom, and there is no substitute for a Soundie to feed you lovely Line Level audio from anything, but in the mean time, I give the C100's audio a big Thumbs Up.
 
Nice Matt. I'm thinking about picking up a C100 but the pres are really important to me. Sounds like they are capable. BTW: I did a similar test to yours between my Panny HPX250 and a Sound Devices 702 and could tell little to no difference between the pres.
 
I feel like I can hear more mid tone in sound device B, They both sound good though. I love your British accent, No doubt in my mind, you could get work doing VO work.
