Metabones Speed Booster, makes Nikon and Canon lenses wider and faster!!!!!

Bloody hell, that's a shame, I am really looking forward to using it.

Jon are you getting the info via Facebook?

...as long as it looks as good as the nex . Anyone heard if they have a m4/3 to fd planned ?

Future Speed Boosters™

When will m4/3 cameras be supported?
We apologize but the m4/3 schedule is slipping.
Manual focus lenses such as Nikon, Leica R, Contax C/Y, Contarex, ALPA and Rollei will be supported in the second half of 2013.

Canon EF lens (but not EF-S) support is planned in the future, but we do not have an estimated date yet.

The m4/3 version also reduces focal length by a 0.71x factor. So, the combined focal length multiplier of a m4/3 camera and Speed Booster is 1.4x. (2x from camera x 0.71x from Speed Booster.) The optics are optimized for the smaller sensor size.

A slipping Birger-esque schedule???

The conundrum where if you repeatedly travel half the distance to your destination, you will never actually arrive...

...I don't think so. birger never released anything. Metabones has the nex speed booster as proof-of-concept. Engineering is always falling behind. It's a fact of life. Keep the faith. The m4/3 to ef sounds like a communication problem between systems....and I'd be satisfied with only control of aperture...forget IS and AF..... and I would like to know if they discover whether an m4/3 to fd is even possible.

I am! Along with a Tokina 11-16!

Im sure I have seen somewhere that Tokina have a Cine version of the 11-16 coming out in the same vain as Duclos, a few hundred dollars more but it has declicked geared aperture ring and geared focus and zoom rings with more travel. Worth looking out for ;)
