FS5: Metabones question

Picking up an fs5 and a used Metabones ef-e mount adapter (non-speed booster). Is there a significant difference between the III and IV version? My Canon glass is 24-105 v1, Canon 17-55 2.8 and Canon 55-250 stm. Thanks

I believe them to be very similar, Speed Boosters that is, in optical performance bar the following. The internal anti-reflective coatings are supposed have been improved on the IV. I've never used a III version but some users complained about flare when a light source was at the edge of the the image. I believe on th IV the rear opening of the adapter was enlarged to eliminate vignetting issues with certain lenses such as tilt shift lenses. I use a Speed Booster Ultra IV on an FS7 and have been more than satisfied with it performance.

Thanks, my main concern is vignetting on my EF-S lenses. I don't use trick lenses so I was hoping I could save a few bucks with VIII...

I believe version three has to be sent to the factory for firmware updates, while version four can be updated by the user.
