3rd party lenses designed for crop sensors work just fine. You can grab a sigma or tamron 17-50 and use that, but you'd have to modify the canon version.
Really? That's great, how sure are you?

I'd be careful to say any 3rd party APS-C lens will work... an AF100 with SpeedBooster has a crop factor of x1.42. Canon APSC cameras have a crop factor of x1.62. As we saw with Nikon APS lenses (DX crop ~x1.5), some will vignette and some won't, and you really can't tell by simply looking at the focal length... Test before you buy.
Of course, if a person doesn't already have a lot of Canon lenses and doesn't have a Canon body, I'd argue there's no compelling reason to buy Canon system glass for m43.

I've thrown the Sigma 18-35 and the Tokina 11-16 on there and they work extremely well. Also from the Metabones site, they specifically say they support "Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses in Canon EF mount" in their chart. See here:

Will the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 VC fit onto the EF-M4/3 Speed Booster ok?
