Merging Two P2 cards

I have two P2 cards... sometimes, I'll one card and a little of the second. I'd like to combine the two on my hard drive to archive to DVD. However, I want to keep the folder structure so that I can view with P2 viewer in the future. Is there a way to copy the second card video and audio files to the first card, and then change the last clip file? What would the renaming structure be if possible?

Yes, P2 Viewer does exactly that. Copy the big card to your hard disk, and then register that hard-disk directory with P2 Viewer as a "virtual card"; then set it to display the secondary bin as only showing that virtual card.

Then put in your other card, the one with the small clip, and just drag and drop the small clip down to that virtual card. It'll automatically take care of all additional files and you'll end up with one (slightly larger) virtual P2 card.

Thanks a bunch... this is great. Never fails that I shoot a whole card and then a little on another card. I have been copying the video and audio files only, but that doesn't keep the structure for P2 Viewer. Thanks a bunch for the quick response!
