AC160 Menu setting DOWN CONV and LIVE/RECORDING

I just started using New Livestream to stream live video with my AC-160a and wondered about a few menu settings. In the AV OUT SETUP there are two settings that are not clear what they are: 1) "SDI & HDMI SEL" and the choices are 1080i/720 and Down Conv. 2) The other is "HP MODE" and the choices are Live and Recording. When I use the Livestream for Producers software to go live, I must choose Down Conv for it to connect. It doesn't matter if I have the camera set at 1080P60 or 1080i30, or any other setting, I must use Down Conv. Does this mean it is converting the video to whatever is optimum for the connection? The other one is Live vs Recording. It doesn't matter what I have this set at, it will connect and go live and I am able to record to memory card at either setting. What does this do then? BTW, I am using the HDMI connection/cable for my connection to the PC.

DOWN CONV means it is downconverting to standard def.

LIVE vs RECORDING makes no difference on the HDMI output. It only affects the headphone jack.
