Menu Fault & Repair Problems

My 2yr old XHA-1 developed a fault while on a shoot. To begin with the exposure lock wouldn't work for a while then it corrected itself. During a filming break I went to use the menu and it froze, had to switch off to get rid of menu but then couldn't use it at all. Sent back to Canon (Elstree) who replaced main pcb etc - bill nearly £600 after 4 weeks! Camera came back with focus and zoom rings not working so returned it. Camera back again today, rings working but exp lock-menu freeze problem still there.:kali:

Obviously I'm not a happy bunny at the moment and the camera will be going straight back to Canon again. Fortunately my Pan HMC151 (with 3yr guarantee) is working for me but I'm doing weddings in peak season with no backup.

So has anyone had a similar fault? Seems to me that the parts they replaced weren't causing the problem - should I insist on a refund of my £600? Should Canon replace it as it's only 2yrs old? What are my rights?

There's only a one year warranty on that camera so really you don't have any rights. They probably won't refund you either unless you take back a nonworking camera. The only obligation they have is to get that camera back to you in factory-conditioned, which it seems like they've failed to do in which case they'll keep fixing it.
