Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus

This looks like a cheesy good time. I mean come on it's The Renegade vs a Mega Shark vs a Giant Octopus. What else could you ask for:cheesy:

EPIC...GREATNESS

I'm guessing it's purposefully cheesy. Look at how much attention it's getting because of it.

Debbie Gibson + Lorenzo Lamas = Awesomeness.

I wonder how much thought went into the title. For example, did they consider Giant Shark vs Mega Octopus?

Someone please tell me how stuff like this gets a budget, I mean come on! It's hilarious to watch but my goodness, someone must have too much money sitting around.

If I was associated with that production, my pitch to the money guys would have been "Snakes on a Plane." Lousy movie, *huge* buzz. Wasn't a big box office smash, but it made its money back, even though it cost $30 million to make.

So now you have comparable buzz potential, in a pic that probably cost no more than $1 million to make... could be profitable.

The main thing that's missing is it didn't get a theatrical release, which would have been awesome because the original title was: Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus In 3-D. Now THAT would have been phenomenal...

That looks awesome.

When was this released on dvd? Was it released on dvd?

Check this for more cheesy goodness. ("Toma-a-a-a-co-o-o")

And btw, when Giant Octopus reaches up into the sky to swat the chopper, it's capillaries in that tentacle should have burst, rendering the arm absolutely useless. Look here for a more in-depth analysis of b-movie monsters.

(sorry for the semi-hijack and if these things are old news)

This looks so awesomely bad it must be good--

Alas, it is not. Just got it from NetFlix.

The trailer is awesome. Do yourself a favor, stop at the trailer, and don't spend the 90 minutes. It does not live up to the promise of the trailer. :(

Unless, well, if you're Sad Max and you want to see some of the most astonishing set design (a high school locker room doubling as the bridge of a nuclear sub?) or the amazing scene of where they're trying to chemically manufacturer pheromones for long-extinct dinosaur-era animals and they succeed when the chemicals start glowing iridescent... meh. Tremendous cheese promise, but more of a rancid movie-theater-nachos-cheese delivery.
