mbp retina - suddenly fcpx doesn't see footage

So i'm on a trip in South Africa and bought a macbook pro retina 2013. But when I link my GH2 to the MBP and try to import the files in FCPx I just see two folders:
DCIM and MISC. In the MISC folder there is just one 'PRIVATE' file.
I guess this is my footage (altough it's just one file and on my GH2 I see 13 videos)

Can anybody tell me the proper workflow on the new MBPr? What's the best way to archive and offload the footage from the GH2 on the MBP?

thanks!

I would suggest using the SD slot on the macbook. are you importing footage through FCPX?

Sorry for the late response, been without internet for a few days.
Anyway, the one SD card kept showing one AHCVD file. Wich wasn't able to get imported in FCP. The other SD card worked perfect tought, just tried the other one with new footage and it worked too. I could just import it in FCP.

Don't what was the problem but It's solved so i'm happy :)

In general I'd always recommend copying the entire SD card structure to your hard drive, then import from that. Faster transfer and you have an automatic backup without tying up the camera.
