Maybe combine availability threads?

[Eddy Robinson]

I know everyone is excited about a new camera and all, and I can't wait to see more footage/ hear hands-on reports, but most of the front page right now is made up of threads about who has it in stock or not. Is there some secret bettering pool, or a prize for whoever gets it first?

Seriously though, it is making the forum hard to read. Could these shopping threads be combined, the way we sometimes do with footage threads?

Seconded! I know everyone's just excited though.

Except for people who ordered from Amazon...

[Perry Wilson]

thats not nice...lol

[mhood]

...especially for those of us who pre-ordered from Amazon.

Yeah I got scared when I saw the $ numbers on Amazon too. I don't really mind, I'm just a bit confused by the rush...it's not like a limited edition. Of course, I do not have a job next week that would be easier to complete with the 7d...but then I assume the first release of everything has bugs and wait for the rush to be over!

^Curse you it will have no BUGS!^

Problem is I think combining would cause it to be unreadable....

And it's actually kind of helpful when you see a thread for a place with cameras in stock. Even if it's just for half an hour. The annoyance should die down a little after the big deliveries go out.
