Maximum hotshoe weight on 7d

Just bought a Marshall 7 inch monitor and it's pretty heavy compared to the 5 inch. I really like the size of the monitor but I am concerned about how much weight the hotshoe mount can hold. Anyone have an idea or any experiences or nightmares to share?

The batter also adds more weight in addition to the monitor.

Maybe I should ask this question in a different way. Anyone use the Marshall 7 inch monitor V-LCD70XP-HDMI and think it's too big and heavy for the hotshoe mount?

Redrock micro has posted on cinema5d that the 7D can take weight because unlike the rebel or 60d the hotshoe is connected to a solid metal body. Check out their hot shoe clamp , they posted some pictures of a monitor mounted to it. If you want confirmation about your 7" monitor email them.
