Mattebox 3x3 vs 4x4 filter

Does anyone know if there's a quality difference between a Mattebox 3x3 and a 4x4 filter? The 4x4 is larger, obviously, but does it make any difference for the quality of my footage?

I'm shooting on the DVX100 and will soon start shooting on the HMC150.

The quality of the filter has nothing to do with size and everything to do with the materials used in production. Where filter size becomes an issue is in relationship to the lens diameter. I wouldn't recommend a 3x3 filter system for the DVX as you may see some vignetting (black on the edges where the filter holder creeps in) on wide shots. Same with DSLR: 3x3 may be okay for smaller lenses, but will certainly be a challenge for a large, wide lens like the Tokina 11-16 (with which even my 4x4 matte box system is a little small when the lens is out to 11mm).
