Hey guys - I made this ghetto matte box while I was waiting for my "real" one to ship - I needed something I could stick 4x4 filters in for a last minute shoot.
It has slots for two 4x4 filters; they are padded with black felt. The velcro tabs are for a piece of black vinyl, which I used to block rear reflections (included). The slots don't rotate. You can clip a black card to it for a bigger top flag. With 4x4 filters, you really need to watch for reflections from the back - I'd suggest you cut a donut from black felt and velcro it in place.
This was built to put on a 15mm rod support. You'll need a rod support adapter for that - I used the Cavision R156025 and RST2550 (but I need to keep those).
If you don't have similar items, Adorama stocks both, here are links:
R156025 and RST2550
If someone can use this, Paypal me $15 to pack & ship USPS Priority w/ tracking. Hopefully someone getting started with filters & rods can get some use out of it. Hate to throw it out, especially since no clients said "hey, that's plywood"!
Email me at michaelcarter (a t) sbcglobal (dot) net - I'm not on here every day but I do answer emails constantly.
(I also have a nice Cavision rod support on eBay, right now it's at $49 - might snag that for a low price). Here's the link to that auction if you're interested.
