GH2 Matching GH2 and GH13

I've been shooting with a GH2 and a GH13 (24p Blackout-Powell Patch) and tried to use lpowell's advice on a previous post to match -- both set to Smooth, 2/3 stop under exposed on the GH13 (100ISO vs 160ISO). I did custom white balance on location and still the colors look "off" on the GH13. The GH2 looks great, but they don't match and really aren't very close.

Anyone have settings with the two cameras that get them pretty close? I know they won't be identical, but as they look now, the GH13 is quite a ways off and will always need some sort of significant color work to match. Here's what I'm using now on both cameras:

GH2 - Unhacked 1080/24p
Smooth
-2 Contrast
0 Sharpening
0 Saturation
-2 Noise Reduction

GH13 - 24p Blackout-Powell Patch
Smooth
-2 Contrast
0 Sharpening
0 Saturation
-2 Noise Reduction
2/3 stop less exposure

I would try not underexposing the GH13, these cameras tend to meter towards the minus side and going even lower will probably give you color shifts that can't be corrected completely. Also set saturation to -1, which seems to me to be closer to neutral, and will give you more leeway for adjusting color in post.

I read that the GH1 has a bug with NR. To get no NR, you select NR +2. Perhaps this is why you are seeing differences? Al

Gotcha. Both GH13 and GH2 to -1 saturation? Or you're just talking about the GH13?

To get NO noise reduction, you set it to +2???? Or did you mean -2? That would be the definition of no noise reduction.

These settings should not be used to produce underexposed images on the GH1 - you should continue to expose both cameras up to the point where highlights begin to bloom. The reason for setting ISO two-thirds stop lower on the GH1 is solely because its ISO levels are calibrated differently than the GH2. In other words, ISO100 on the GH1 = ISO160 on the GH2. Once you do this, the other exposure settings should produce similar results on both cameras.

I did mean NR set to +2 in fact is how to avoid noise reduction in camera for the GH1 for RAW images. I have not done testing for video to see if this bug also applies for video. I can't find the link to posts on this right now. You should look for it... Al
