High-Res Monitoring Solution: Low Cost Semi-DIY project

So I finally when and bought a monitor. its from cartft.com model CTF700-H.

318.49 EUR's plus 16.50 for shipping.

It seems to be good and bright with its 600nits. 350 contrast. its a TMR screen.

My big question to all........Is every one getting a squeezed picture?

Im using the Component HD out from my Canon A1 to Mayflash then VGA out to
monitor.

It seems to get edge to edge fine but top and bottom is way off, its cut off and squeezed.

Is this what every one else is experiencing from there VGA set up?

2 shots.

1. with VGA

2. with the video out from the A1.

I hope there is a way around this issue, otherwise this is not a good solutoin for framing.

What do you all think?

Did you get a 15:9 screen instead of a 16:9?

You may be able to stretch it beyond what it's showing to adjust.

Also, even with it stretcehed you should be within TV safe guides.

Its a 16:9 monitor, and the menu in really simple so there isn't much to adjust.

Are you getting a proper picture with your lilliput?

It definitely does look like so. .LOL

I dunno about that CARTFT thing. What I experienced with my lilliput wasn't as drastic and ended up pretty much at the 90% TV safe zone when I compared it with my own HVX LCD

As far as the two shots sharpness, the vga is sharper its just the photo I took is softer, not on purpose.

Heres 2 more. a little bit more clear.

Anyone using the Lilliput EBY701? I'm looking at it for my HVX and the flip-flop is appealing as I'll be using a ram mount to attach right to the HVX handle.

Is this model touchscreen only?

Uau! that sounds super cool:D
One question togh, how's the monitor stand for for viewing angles? Cant semm to find specs for the Sharp one...:(
How's the toshiba doing?
Also hows the image? Easy to focus with? How are the colors? I'll try to contact Bogdan Adrian Stanescu on the hv20 forum ask him some more(I'm romanian and hes name sounds incredibly romanian:).
Thanks a loat for the link, pfiuf saves a loat of own testing(and possibly damaging).
Would you recomend the Sharp 7"?

Thanks again and happy hollydays,
Stefan

Sorry for the very late reply ( I belong to about 20 forums)
- Viewing angle is roughly 20º for accurate judgment.
- Excellent to focus ( look at the screen resolution specs)
- Colors are excellent for an LCD
- Colors may be calibrated
- I LOVE the 7.2" Manhattan LCD ( I own 2!)
belated happy holidays
