Suggestions to match the 2 cameras in rec709
C300: Match C300 MkII to Sony FS7

Perhaps set both cameras up to match the Alexa look, then convert to 709.

C300 II: use Canon Log 2, Cinema Gamut, Production Matrix.
Using the C300 II with Canon Log (custom setup, see link), and A7S II with Slog2 and SGamut3.cine, I was able to get a decent match fairly quickly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ulmgc_a39Q
FS7 should be similar.

If you're not able to go with a log and LUT solution the mk2 has a plethora of in camera color options. I think I did a video color profile on my mk2 with a bit of tweaking to the red/green shift. I think I ended up using one of the hyper gammas, I came close but the fs7 came out a little pinkish.

I have both cameras and tried to match in Rec709 out of both, just to see how close they would be--they were close, but not perfectly matched. I was surprised to see the FS7 was a tad warmer. A tiny tweak in post would match them up just fine. Of course anything can be done in post to match them with c-log and s-log, I suppose.
